ONYX Cannon [PC / Mobile Prop]

The hybrid energy cannon and shotgun model ONYX fires high-velocity pellets from double-barrels alongside a large ONYX energy crystal that explodes on impact. Due to the power required to launch the crystal, the weapon requires a moment to warm up before each shot, and expels a burst of excess energy from its cooling vents afterward. This weapon is heavily based on my interpretation of the Onyx Blaster from Terraria, built as if it were a double-barrel shotgun with an energy-based crystal launcher mounted in the middle. Features - Prefabs for both PC and Android/Quest* - Physical controls: load the next shot by pulling the slide under the barrel, and shoot with the Right Fist gesture. - Can be held two-handed by grabbing the slide. - Visible shells when loaded and ready to fire. - Emissive parts glow brighter when charging a shot. * The Android version lacks some particle systems to help the performance rank, they can be manually Reverted inside the prefab if you'd like to have them back. Stats - 1 Skinned Mesh Renderer, 1.9k triangles. - 6 Particle Systems (Android: 2) - 8 Material slots (Android: 3) [Should be 7, blame VRChat] - 2 PhysBone components, 4 Transforms - 2 Synced Parameter bytes - Best Rank when used: Medium Rank on PC and Poor Rank on Android. Installation - To install on your avatar, make sure you have VRCFury imported and place the prefab on your avatar. - Open the prefab dropdown in the hierarchy. - Move "right-hand" to fit the gun to your avatar's right hand. - Currently, this is right-handed only. I may make a left-handed version in the future. Let me know if you'd prefer that! - Place the "aimTarget" in the middle of your avatar's left palm. This is used for the two-handed grip. - The onyx-blaster mesh has shape keys to adjust the length of the stock, or remove it entirely if you wish. - The PC prefab uses Poiyomi Toon 9.0. If you'd like to edit the material make sure you have that imported, or you may change to a different shader instead. The avatar in the pictures is my personal avatar.
